About First Nations Communities Read

First Nation Communities READ call for submissions

We are thrilled to announce the call for submissions for the 2021-2022 First Nation Communities READ book award. Publishers who have published Indigenous works in 2020 are encouraged to submit these titles for consideration.

Please see the submission forms and creator acknowledgements.

There are two categories for submission.  Children’s and YA/Adult categories.  Selected title authors each receive a $3000 award from the Periodical Marketers of Canada.

We look forward to receiving the very best of Indigenous literature in Canada from the myriad of excellent publishers in Canada
